In the last several years, amidst controversy and fraudulent science, psychology has begun a serious process of open and transparent science to avoid irresponsible or nefarious activities (e. g., making up data; re-analyzing data until it tells you want you want). Please read the article about
the open science framework

Please return to the course after reading by clicking on the course tab in your internet browser. Do you think the goals of the OSF will improve scientific integrity? Is there something else we can do to prevent research fraud and inaccuracy? Think back to Bem’s (2006) quotation in module 3 about fishing for anything. Is psychology moving in the right direction to protect scientific integrity? Why or why not? How does this relate to the “New Statistics”?
